🌿 100% plant-based soy wax – a conscious choice
Our scented candles are made exclusively from pure plant-based soy wax. We completely refrain from using paraffin, stearin, or artificial wax blends.
The result is a calm burn, less soot, and a significantly more pleasant fragrance diffusion. At the same time: natural wax behaves differently than industrially blended waxes – it reacts more sensitively to wick length, drafts, and burning duration. This is precisely why proper handling is so important.
🔥 One wick. A calm flame. At 6 cm diameter.
Our CandleDeko candles in the bulbous WECK jar have a glass diameter of around 6 cm. To ensure the wax surface melts evenly, we use a strong, high-quality cotton wick – but deliberately only one.

❌ Why we avoid 2- or 3-wick candles
Multiple wicks may seem attractive at first glance. In practice, however, they often lead to:
- faster burning
- unsteady, flickering flames
- uneven wax development
- very hot glass
- increased soot formation
Especially with heavily perfumed candles, many people report exactly these problems – often only after some time. Many customers only discover CandleDeko after these experiences.
🔁 No tunneling – but even burning
A common problem with multi-wick candles is tunneling: The center burns down quickly, while the wax at the edge remains. This looks unappealing – and wastes a large part of the candle.
At CandleDeko, we prevent exactly that: An optimally matched single wick ensures that the wax melts evenly from edge to edge. This way, your candle burns cleanly – down to the last centimeter.
🧠 Fewer irritants – more well-being
Headaches, a feeling of pressure, or a scratchy throat are not uncommon with strongly scented candles. These complaints often arise from synthetic fragrances in high concentrations, combined with paraffin wax or multiple flames.
CandleDeko consciously relies on gentle fragrance release, a calm burn, and pure plant-based wax. The fragrance unfolds evenly – without overstimulation. Even with longer burning times or in smaller rooms, the fragrance experience remains pleasant.
✂️ Wick care – crucial for clean burning
Due to the large glass diameter and the strong wick, a small carbon knob often forms at the end of the wick after burning. This is normal – and a sign that the wick is doing its job.
Please trim the wick to about 1 cm in length after it has fully cooled.
This keeps the flame calm, the glass clean, and the fragrance balanced.
💡 The glass lid – more than just a closure
To extinguish, simply place the glass lid on the candle. The flame is cleanly smothered – without any smoke swirls.
An additional benefit: The delicate fragrance remains enclosed in the glass. The next time you light it, it often smells clearer and fresher – and you will enjoy your candle for longer.
