How It All Began – The Journey to Our Own Scented Candle Manufactory - Part 1

It started with a simple wish:
To create beautiful candles that are more than just sources of light.

Candles that not only look good but also smell pleasant. That beautify a home, create an atmosphere – and perhaps even evoke memories.
Because a true atmosphere has a scent – and cannot be programmed.

From Disappointment to Idea

Like so many, it all started with store-bought candles – from drugstores, discount stores, or large online shops.
But what looked promising often turned out to be a disappointment:
Candles that smelled artificial and overpowering.
Scent promises that vanished after a few minutes.
Wicks that created so much soot that repainting was necessary afterward.
And candles that burned incompletely or didn't give off any pleasant scent at all.

But it was about something else:
About naturalness. About real scents – like in a garden when roses, strawberries, or lavender are in bloom.

The Magic of Natural Scented Candles

The first attempts were – as so often in life – anything but perfect.
The first pillar candles were crooked and misshapen. Some scented candles indeed emitted a great smell, while others didn't even make it into the shop – because the scent wasn't right or didn't seem natural enough.

But: The passion was ignited.
Dozens of fragrance oils were tested, sample candles were poured, discarded, improved.
Always with the goal:
To create candles that smell honest, burn naturally – and bring joy.

A Candle That Won't Let Us Go

To this day, there is one project that constantly challenges us:
The 15 cm pyramid candle.

Its shape is special – and equally demanding.
It tends to break, burn unevenly, or exhibit other small peculiarities.
But that's exactly what makes it so special:
A true passion project that we are constantly refining.

What defines candledeko today

Today, candledeko is about much more than candles.
It's about inspiration, joy, and the feeling of doing something good with a small gesture – for oneself or for others.

Every new shape, every new scent is a small adventure.
And always connected with the thought:
How can we beautify living spaces? How do we turn a moment of light into a fragrance experience? And how can our products become a loving gift idea?
